WHO IS H&D?
We've got 4 principles underpinning our company.
1. Make great beer.
2. Treat everyone ethically.
3. Reduce our negative impact on the environment wherever possible.
4. Be proactive members of our communities.
Here're a couple of examples of what we're doing to address #4. Please let us know if you have further suggestions!

We feel lucky to work with several different non-profits each year (ranging from housing security to animal welfare) to try to help raise funds and awareness for their efforts.
Thanks to a nomination from the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, in 2022 we were honored to receive an award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals as Colorado's Outstanding Small Business.

In May of 2022, we were given the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed's inaugural Dick Jefferies Partner for the Poudre award (which is named after a person we admire hugely and a river we love!) for support of CPRW's work in the Cache la Poudre watershed. We brew a terrific sweet, caramelly, delicious Irish red ale. For every pint sold in our tasting room, we donate $1 to the Firefighters Community Compassion Fund, a local organization in NoCO that raises funds to contribute to an account that enables Poudre Fire Authority trucks to carry with them a debit card. Firefighters use the card when they see an immediate need that they can answer. Since they respond to almost all 9-1-1 calls in our community, they see a lot more than most of us about how our neighbors might be struggling. And they give a hand up in hundreds of ways, including this one.

We are happy to serve as a gathering place for people concerned about resource use. If you've an idea for some educational meeting or community effort, let us know!
