Collaborations and Charitable Involvements
We've got 4 principles underpinning our company.
1. Make great beer.
2. Treat everyone ethically.
3. Reduce our negative impact on the environment wherever possible.
4. Be proactive members of our communities.
Here's some of what we're doing to address #4. Please let us know if you have further suggestions, and stay tuned for more information about Horse & Dragon's involvement in our communities.

Every year from February through about June (depending on when the last batch runs out), we brew a terrific Irish-style red. It's a sweet, caramelly, delicious red ale. For every pint sold in our tasting room, we donate $1 to the Firefighters Community Compassion Fund, a local organization in NoCO that raises funds to contribute to an account that enables Poudre Fire Authority trucks to carry with them a debit card. Firefighters use the card when they see an immediate need that they can answer. Since they respond to almost all 9-1-1 calls in our community, they see a lot more than most of us about how our neighbors might be struggling. And they give a hand up in hundreds of ways, including this one.

Thanks to a nomination from the Community Foundation of Colorado, in 2022 we were honored to receive an award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals as Colorado's Outstanding Small Business.
We continue to strive to merit that title!
Throughout each year, we do our best to contribute to some of the many people & organizations doing great and often hard work in our community.
We so appreciate that beer can help do some mending and lift people up!

Brave Noise Beer benefits SAVA Center. As a part of the Brave Noise effort to fight discrimination and harassment in the brewing industry, we brewed a Brave Noise Pale Ale (read more about the Brave Noise project here) in the spring of 2022. All proceeds from the sale of this beer were donated to the SAVA Center in Fort Collins. |
Working with 4 other Fort Collins Breweries, several local credit unions, and Habitat for Humanity Fort Collins, H&D donated to The House That Beer Built III. Proceeds from Take Wing Smoked Peach Helles beer sales and "Dark Days" flights went to Habitat to help defray the cost of building this house! H&D also participated in 2 build days (with one more scheduled this fall before the house is completed).
